We just set the record for second place. As in the second lowest hires for the residential construction sector in the 21st Century. Even lower than December of 2009.

Homebuilder Share Prices (brand new addition!)
Time is a construct. It's just a measuring tool. Use it how you choose. I chose to put my timeline to builder stock prices this week. There’s a well known saying in real estate:
“Time is of the Essence.”
Lennar #2 in sales volume
Pulte Homes #3 in sales volume
Someone at PHM is wishing it was the end of the 1980 Cycle right about now. But they don’t know that cycle isn’t with us anymore. For now. Until it will be again. Also, the stock went from $0.93 to $2.63 per share. For context.
KB Homes #6 in sales volume (only 6 cycles of shares to measure)
Looks like the bottom of the past is 58 weeks from today. More of these to come.

I’m not going to say who’s stock price this is. (Hint, it is a homebuilder, and they alluded to today being like GFC in their earnings presentation) But they should maybe listen to Jamie Dimon.

Let me explain the difference here. Because this is my value proposition:
Time.
What looks like from peak to now tracks and trends to recession or now recovery, isn’t really saying much. Using the measuring tool of time properly, as we’re documenting here, the chart on the left is early.
Recession or no, I contend this is the proper lens through which to view the timing of the situation.
Time is a construct. It's just a measuring tool. Use Your Illusion I and II.

This end scene depicts Cobb walking off screen to the sounds of children, and the top spinning in a closeup, while we wait with bated breath to see if the top falls.
The truth is, It doesn’t matter what happened to the TOP, because this was Cobb’s moment of Catharsis; where he leaves Moll and his past behind to embrace today and his children’s future. He left Moll’s totem (the spinning top) behind, not his.
It is the moment he decided to stop being haunted by the past and embrace the future. It’s the moment of realization, of his very own Inception of Catharsis, only achieved through attempting to plant the Inception of Catharsis into Fischer’s mind.
This end scene really depicts Cobb leaving the dreamworld behind, which he frequented, out of addiction/trauma, because that’s where he and Moll were still together. And as long as he didn’t let that go, there would be no moving forward or hope for the future.

Inception is a clever story about acceptance and moving forward into to the future while letting go of the past, couched in wonderful science fiction. It’s also why Mr. Nolan makes the big bucks.
